Things to Consider in a Firearm (Part 3 Final)

Welcome to The Firearms Creed, today we will be finishing up the topic “things to consider while choosing your build/weapons platform”. Some of the other common reasons you would be looking for a new firearm, are for home defense and or just for pure fun. Home defense guns is a topic that has a lot of opinions of what you should choose, personally I believe that you should use what you feel comfortable with, while taking a couple of things into consideration. first of all, capacity, this is obviously important because you want the most advantage you could possibly have in this fight. Secondly over penetration, you want to take into consideration your surroundings, are you in an apartment, or maybe a neighborhood where the houses are close together. you don’t want to take out your next-door neighbor's dog while defending your home, you can leave that to your local ATF branch. Thirdly you should consider something that’s going to be fairly maneuverable, you don’t want something unwieldy. And finally, you should always have a mounted weapon light on your firearm, you should always be able to light up the night. These are just some things i think should be considered while choosing your weapon platforms, but in the end it’s your gun fight. I would also like to cover if you are choosing a gun for fun, i don’t have much advice for this other than to just go with what you want. if that’s letting the inner Fudd in you come out by getting your favorite wheel gun, or building out the perfect rifle to go with you kit so you can LARP in your backyard because your wife’s boyfriend took her out, so now you have the house to yourself for the night. No matter the build, or the gun, do what you want and don’t listen to the criticism. the point of gun culture is to support each other and share something that we all love to do. We have to stand together in this fight and show people it’s alright to like guns just because they are fun and cool.
