A vigilante is a private citizen who takes the law into their own hands, acting outside of official legal authority to prevent, investigate, or punish perceived crimes. They often step in when the official justice system is viewed as ineffective, corrupt, or too slow. We at TFC don't suggest anyone to take these matters into their own hands but we recognize that often stress of an unjust system can cause private citizens to do acts they normally may have never done and bring to light the problems that an unjust system creates.
