Welcome to The Firearms Creed! Today we are continuing the discussion on building your own AR.

When it comes to the gas block, most rifles have a simple one, but you can opt for an adjustable gas block if you want a more tunable rifle. This allows you to control the amount of gas that goes back into the system to cycle the weapon. It's especially handy if you plan on using a suppressor. Battle rifles are usually over-gassed for reliability, ensuring that all types of ammo will cycle. Just keep in mind the profile of your barrel to choose the right-sized gas block.

Now, let's move on to the muzzle device. There are different types to consider. Flash hiders are commonly used for battle rifles, but if you want to mitigate recoil or have a flatter shooting gun, a compensator might be your go-to choice. Some muzzle devices even serve as hybrids, combining both functions. If you're thinking about suppressing your rifle, look for a muzzle device that can also connect quickly to a suppressor. Just remember that these are often specific to certain suppressor styles, so do your research beforehand.

Thanks, we will see you next time!
